Why
Buy A Short Car? |
With most dragsters in the 225” to 240” wheelbase range, why should I buy a 175” or 185” Swing Arm Predator Dragster car? There are many logical reasons to drive a Predator Dragster. SAFETY: All
cars are built to exacting SFI specifications: DEADLY CONSISTANT: It is not uncommon for these cars to repeat to the thousandth, run after run. Predator double slip joint or swing arm design allows consistent 60 foot times. FINISHLINE RACING: Short dragsters make it easier to drive the stripe. You are closer to the front wheels, and the finish line when it’s time to make the split second decisions at the finish line. Five feet seems like a mile at the stripe! Check out the photos below to illustrate this. WIND: Predator Dragsters offer a small cross section to prevailing crosswinds. Less surface area to be effected by the wind means more consistent Et’s STAGING: 175” Wheelbase positions the rear tires ahead of the bald spot created by longer dragsters on the launch pad. This allows better traction for more consistent reaction times and 60 foots. Again, see the photos below. TRAILERS: Nose to tail length of 19 feet allows a smaller, easier towing, more fuel efficient trailer saved the racer money. GARAGE SPACE: Predator Dragsters will fit most standard 20 X 20 garages. No need to park sideways in the garage. Allowing room for a daily driver. MANEUVERABILITY: Easy to drive in the pits and staging lanes. When you add up all the advantages, racing a Predator 185” Swing Arm Dragster is the logical choice. |
