Hello everyone, I am beginning this column to let you know how our customers
and team drivers are doing, who are new customers are, and new updates at Land
Shark Racing Inc. Guest editorials will also be welcomed!
2007 in review is a good place to start. What a year!! New team Land Shark customers
include Ken Bolle, AZ, Lou McGregor, FL, Darryl Contreas, CO, Charlie Boyd,
Vegas, Terry Henrickson, SD, Blake Allen, OK, Richard Nedbal, CA and Bruce Sisk,
VA. I apologize in advance to anyone I have left out.
As of this writing everyone who's car is completed and racing has been victorious
in at least one race!! Congratulations to a very talented group if racers!!
2007 saw an excellent group of team drivers. Kyle Bonds earned his S/C license
in August and went on to win 3 races before he returned to medical school in
September. Kyle has a very bright future in drag racing and with LSR.
The Thanksgiving Bracket Nationals at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was a great success
and featured several all star drivers. All piloting our 185" wheelbase
Predator Dragster. Bob Fuller, yes that is Hot Rod's father, kicked off the
weekend with a strong performance. Bob's insights and experience are always
welcomed and dead on.
Next, Peter Biondo competed in the Madcap run for the motor where a failed starter
ended his day in the quarter finals. Peter was double entered and won the race
in the second entry. Saturday brought the much anticipated Ultimate Gambler
where Peter lost a very close race with his good friend Anthony Bertozzi. Both
drivers where double 0 on the tree and dead on with change. It was an honor
to see such a display of racing talent. Peter is an excellent driver and a very
nice guy, a pleasure to work with.
Fast Jack Beckman got behind the wheel in the 5K race on Saturday and came out
on top after a 9 round race, he was double entered and lost in the quarters
in his famed Blackbird dragster. To Jack's credit, he won the race with out
even making a time trial! He jumped in the Predator and had no problems!! If
you ever get a chance to meet Jack at a national event, do not hesitate, he
is a very funny and personable racer.
I would like to thank Rod Harper, my Chief Fabricator for all his hard work
and dedication in 2007. His long hours in the shop are greatly appreciated.
Here's to an even better 2008!!
